| So I just got back from Spokane and I found out that the people we stayed with had their baby boy in the hospital with pneumonia for the last two days after we left. I would ask you keep Dan and Cerissa in your prayers. While I was over there Dan showed me a pretty cool program called E-sword, from http://www.e-sword.net. What it basically is, is a bible or several versions of the bible and commentaries and maps and devotionals all on your computer and surprisingly easy to navigate. So far I've download a whole slue of material. The translations with copyrights (NIV, the Message, NASB) cost some money, but not unreasonable. Dan is the type of person who is a very real pleasure to talk to. The kind of guy who has to know, and then he finds out. If you know onewifeonly it is like chatting with him if he was an engineer. Speaking of Casey me and the loveable wife are very excited that Brianna got her first pick. Praise the Lord. If you want to take check out some teaching that dan has done he and some guys from his church have blog and pod cast at http://liferoads-snt.blogspot.com/ I think that he planned on teach John 6 but ended up in the hospital with his little boy instead. God bless Joshua | | |
| So, this week has been interesting. I had decided with my wife after a long dry spell in my real esate business in 2006 that if I couldn't close anything at least every two months, than I had to get out of the buseiness. So everything was great until I didn't close something for three months. I am now in an interesting spot, trying to find a normal 9-5 job but still working full time as a real estate agent. The tough thing about this job ( well one of the tough thing) is that there always seems to be another deal just around the corner. So before I left for Spokane I received a call from someone who I used to work with offering me a job as a buyer agent. Well it is not exactly a normal job, but me and my sweet pumpkin have decided to go for it. I'll write more within the next two years or so. God bless Joshua | | |
| Today I was reading Matthew 6 and was just struck dump by how much I worry sometimes about my needs and what I want to do in life. Instead of giving all of my attention to seeking first the kingdom of God. | | |
| To God be the Glory forever and ever. It looks like will be closing something this month.
Praise God. | | |
| So I didn't get into work until late today because of some reckless escapades me an my wife the lovely participated in last night. My lovely was going over some pictures to add to her portfolio when my brother came up to our place with his girlfriend help choose what made it and what didn't. If you haven't seen any of her work take a look at her sight hemmingerphotography.com. So while he was talking to us he mentioned that the warehouse he worked at had a company throw away a ton of demo mountain equipment. So at mid night last night me and my lovely wife make our way to the said dumpster for a covert garbage extraction mission. We pull up to the dumpster, look in and wamo! We hit the jackpot. Tons of stuff was in there that we could use or sell or give away, I mean come on they were throwing the stuff away. Now in our excitement as we searched for the right shoe size, ski length, and snow board bindings. We made an awful lot of noise and about an hour later we were still digging through the garbage when we both heard a stern voice behind us say "You two get out of that dumpster right now! and put all of that stuff back in there" Great we had taken way to long and been way to loud. I am sure we look quite silly up to our hips in trash, me with a helmet I had found on and both of us looking rather shocked that someone would have the gall to dampen our party. Being the model citizens we are ( well mostly) we put the stuff back in the dumpster and left, only getting away with my helmet and a pair of goggles. At home we debriefed over a game of skip bo and bowls of ice cream before heading for bed. All in all it was a fun date with a beautiful women that reminded me of days gone by.
With love, God bless
